In 2003 Comet launched its gift card range. We were the first electrical retailer and the second retailer in the UK to launch a gift card. Since then we've spent a lot of time speaking to both customers and consumers to find out what's important to them. We've created the following propositions:
Gift Cards
The gift card can be used as an alternative to gift vouchers. The Comet Gift Card has a number of benefits which our customers are taking advantage of, including:
- Dual branding
- Bespoke design - you can change the design of your gif card up to twice a year
- The accompanying letter is tailored to the recipient
- Variable expiry dates
- Card must be activated upon receipt
Electrical Replacement Card
The electrical replacement card was designed specifically for the insurance market as an alternative method to gift vouchers. The Electrical Replacement Card has a number of benefits as outlined above but also includes:
- Improve speed of claim resolution
- Improve customer service. If the card is ordered before midday the recipient will receive the Electrical Replacement Card the following working day
Payment Card
The payment card was created for the Third Sector market. Vouchers can often be exchanged for cash and therefore Comet Business Services wanted to provide a cost-effective proposition that would ensure the Charity's grant would be spent in the manner for which it was intended, whilst allowing the beneficiary the flexibility to choose the colour, make and model of the product.
The payment card has all of the benefits outlined above but also includes:
- Product and service to be purchased is specified on the front image of the card
