ExtraCare Service Plan

We want you to get the very best from your product, from setting up correctly, to repairing it if it ever stops working. That's why we have introduced the Comet ExtraCare Service Plan. If something should go wrong, we'll get you up and running in no time. In fact, you are guaranteed a fast, no-hassle repair service from Comet's nationwide team of specialist engineers.

Our ExtraCare service plan includes:

  • Ongoing Support and Maintenance – We are here to help:
    • Set-up the product correctly
    • Diagnose and remedy a problem you may have with your product
    • Arrange for an engineer to repair your product
  • Annual Health Check - Call us and we can check that your product is operating as it should. If necessary, we’ll send an engineer to fix it.
  • Product breakdown - The ExtraCare Service Plan provides repair for any breakdown, failure or mishaps from the date of purchase.
  • New for Old replacement - If the product cannot be repaired and is deemed beyond economic repair, then it will be replaced with an equivalent product.
  • Quick call outs and fast repairs – One of our 500 specialist engineers will visit you quickly – normally within 2 working days
  • Unlimited Repairs – No matter how many times your product develops a mechanical or electrical fault during the term of the plan, we will repair it.
  • Nothing more to pay and no call out charges –We’ll cover you for the cost of all repairs, including parts, labour, callout and VAT

ExtraCare Select Product Plan

Comet's ExtraCare Select Product Plan is available on many small household essentials under £130. The ExtraCare Select Product Plan will provide unlimited replacements for 3 years should your product stop working and we are unable to repair it.

For a small one-off payment, you are assured of:

  • A quick and easy process – Should your product stop working, simply bring it back into store where we will attempt to remedy the problem.
  • If we can't repair it, we will replace it with a like for like product.
  • As many exchanges as you need during your three year plan.

ExtraCare Gold is the ultimate support and maintenance plan available for your PC and Laptop.

In addition to the Standard ExtraCare Plan you will get

  • Data recovery – We will arrange for a specialist data retrieval company to try and restore your files where the loss of data is caused by a hard drive failure.
  • Free 2GB online data storage – For your added protection, Filesafe gives you a simple and effective online backup solution. Data is backed up automatically and this service is perfect for backing up pictures, music or documents.
  • Remote re-set of wireless/internet following repairs – should you need a repair we will get your network up and running afterwards.
