Printer resolution is measured by the number of dots per square inch (dpi) that either device is capable of delivering or reading. Therefore, a printer with a higher number of dpi will produce better results. For most home office application, a printer resolution of 600dpi is perfectly adequate.
Connectivity

There are two ways to connect your printer to your PC.
USB (Universal Serial Bus) -The latest type of cable connection that allows faster transfer of information and therefore faster printing.
